Tips for Caravans

WHY USE PROPANE IN YOUR CARAVAN?

Propane is a simple, safe and versatile energy solution for caravan and motorhome owners.

Propane can be used for heating both the cabin and water. You can cook food on the caravan’s gas stove, while groceries stay fresh in a gas-powered refrigerator. Even outdoor grills can be quickly heated up with propane.

TOP SAFETY TIPS

Always keep the propane cylinder upright
Fasten the cylinder in the storage compartment so that it can never tip over. Check the local regulations on how much propane you can store in your caravan or mobile home.

Remember the annual maintenance
Perform the annual maintenance in the spring when you take your caravan or motorhome into use. With AGA leak finder, you can easily check the safety of your gas equipment.

Install gas alarms and provide good ventilation
Ensure sufficient ventilation in the caravan and in the storage compartments containing your propane cylinders. The storage compartment door must not be locked when you are staying in the caravan.

Make sure you have the right pressure
In residential areas, the operating pressure of the gas network must be 30 mbar, and gas appliances with other pressure levels must not be connected. Do not make your own installations, they can be dangerous!

TRAVELLING ABROAD

The range of available propane cylinders varies between different countries. When travelling in the Nordic or Baltic countries, you can visit the nearest Linde agent or sales point to replace your empty cylinder with a full one. Our personnel know the differences between cylinders and valves and are happy to help.

If you change your cylinder outside the Nordic and Baltic countries, remember to check that the cylinder valve is correct and fits your pressure regulator.
